Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Intake Specialist. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the initial stages of legal case management by gathering and organizing important client information. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong research and clerical skills who is interested in the legal field.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake interviews with clients to gather necessary information
- Manage and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and organized
- Perform research using legal databases such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Assist with legal drafting, including preparing correspondence and legal documents
- Enter data into document management systems accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure smooth case progression
- Provide administrative support as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of legal case management processes and procedures
- Proficiency in file management and organization
- Excellent research skills, utilizing resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Familiarity with document management systems
- Clerical skills, including typing, filing, and record keeping
